We are a bioremediation specialist serving the Oil Palm industry. Using proprietary microbiological technology, we convert 100% of EFB and Effluent (in the standard ratio of up to 1:3) into compost.
We offer the Oil Palm world’s first zero waste, nutrient extraction technology that can process whole EFB fruit bunches without the need for shredding.

This means that mills never have to worry about biomass and effluent management. Companies save millions of dollars in inorganic fertiliser cost and benefit from a significant reduction in their carbon footprint

BARformula provides total solutions by managing the process from mill to field and operational guidance for under-performing composting facilities.

We can organise visits for mill owners and key decision makers to gain first-hand impression of the technology at our existing sites. This is the best opportunity for potential clients to gain feedback from managers of our clients, many of whom are senior plantation executives with some of the industry’s leaders.

One of our priorities is to continue to be accessible to the smaller groups and smallholders, as they make up a large section of the industry. We hope that a wider propagation of our technology will speed up the recovery of the massive deterioration of the soil food web and riverine systems.

Since we introduced our technology to the market in 2008, we now operate multiple sites across Malaysia and Indonesia. Up to December 2020, we have converted over 9.3 million metric tonnes of organic biomass and effluent into co-compost worth some USD70 million to our clients.
